The Puram Lab at WashU Medicine is a translational/basic science laboratory devoted to understanding the transcriptional and epigenetic heterogeneity of head and neck cancer. By understanding the mechanisms underlying the growth, development and spread of these cancers, we hope to develop new diagnostics and therapeutics to treat this devastating disease.

Our vision: To understand head and neck cancer

Head and neck cancers result in tens of thousands of deaths each year, demanding our energy, time, and resources until this disease is eradicated. We strive to develop new diagnostic and therapeutic tools to help us fight this devastating disease. Please explore our website to learn more about our efforts. Our laboratory harnesses cutting edge technology using advanced sequencing techniques (e.g. single cell sequencing) along with a detailed understanding of biochemistry, cell biology, and animal models to characterize this challenging disease.
